Amber is a natural resin produced by ancient fossilised tree resin.
When worn against the skin, the amber beads warm up and release a minute amount of an analgesic called succinc acid which is absorbed by the skin.
Although there is no scientific evidence for its efficacy at reducing teething discomfort, some parents do report their baby is less fussy and more calm when wearing amber jewellery.
Our baby Amber teething bracelets are approximately 13cm long when open and 6.5cm when closed. This will fit the wrist of babies under twelve months old.
The bracelet is fastened with a screw clasp and each bead is individually knotted. The bracelet is designed to remain in one piece if it should break.
